Sensei Steve has trained in Isshin Ryu Karate for nine years and has been an Instructor at Murray’s Martial Arts Center for the past 2 years. He has also trained in Kendo, Jiu-Jitsu, and Muay Thai. Sensei Steve is a graduate of SUNY Brockport with a degree in Kinesiology, specializing in conditioning and mobility.
Sensei Mike Richards is the Chief Instructor and Manager of Murray’s Martial Arts in Irondequoit.
He is a 4th Degree Black Belt in Isshin Ryu Karate, and has been training at Murray's Martial Arts since 2000. In addition to Isshin Ryu, he has also trained in the arts of Jiu-Jitsu, Judo, Kickboxing, Capoeira, Pekiti, and Kali. He's won many local Martial Arts tournaments.
Sensei Stefanie Richards is a 4th degree Black Belt and the Chief Instructor at the Webster location.
She started training at Murray's Martial Arts in 2001 at the age of 9 and earned her Black Belt by the age of 13. Sensei Stefanie has been teaching Karate and kickboxing since she was 15 and has dedicated most her life to teaching both children and adults.
Sensei Dylan Russell is the Chief Instructor and Manager at Murray’s Martial Arts Center in Greece.
He is a 4th Degree Black Belt and began his training at Murray’s Martial Arts in 2001. He is a dedicated community leader; teaching and helping people develop strong, healthy relationships with themselves and others. He has been competing in Martial Arts competitions his whole life, where he has won numerous titles.
Sensei Sue Murray is the co-owner of Murray’s Martial Arts and is a 3rd Degree Black Belt. She began her training under her husband Shihan Kim Murray’s direction in 1993.
She waited until all 3 of her children, who are also Black Belts, had grown up before she started her own training.
Shihan Kim Murray is the co-owner of Murray’s Martial Arts with more than 40 years of experience. He is also the founder of the United Isshin Ryu Karate and Kobu-Do Association. He was awarded a 9th Degree Black Belt in 2018.
He has taught literally tens of thousands of students in the Art of Isshin Ryu Karate and Kobu-Do. He has competed both nationally and internationally winning numerous grand championships.
Sensei Zak Richards is an Instructor at Murray’s Martial Arts Center in Irondequoit.
He first began his training at age 12 at Murray's Martial Arts and quickly earned his Black Belt rank by age 14. Sensei Zak has been teaching in the schools since 2009. He received two certificates in Photovoltaic Energy Systems as well as two certificates for Geothermal Ground Source Heat Pumps. He is now back teaching in Irondequoit as a 3rd degree Black Belt.
Sensei Corey White is an Instructor at Murray’s Martial Arts Center in Greece.
He first began his Karate training at Murray's Martial Arts when he was 9 years old. He currently holds a third degree Black Belt in Isshin Ryu Karate. He has been teaching the art since he was 15, when he first earned his Black belt. He is a student at Rochester Institute of Technology where he is pursuing a degree in engineering.
Sensei Lauren Vito is an Instructor at Murray’s Martial Arts Center in Irondequoit.
Sensei Lauren Vito is a third degree Black Belt who started training at Murray’s Martial Arts at the age of 9. She started teaching at the age of 16 and took a break to attend college. While working at a law firm full time, Martial Arts is her favorite outlet and she loves watching students grow and achieve their goals!
Sensei Andrew Bidwell is an Assistant Instructor at Murray’s Martial Arts Center in Irondequoit.
He began his training at Murray's Martial Arts in 2011 when he was 7 years old. He is a member of the Leadership Team as well as an active competitor and has won numerous awards.
Sensei Courtney is an Instructor at Murray’s Martial Arts Center in Webster.
Sensei Courtney Teeter started training at Murray’s Martial Arts in 2010. He earned his Black Belt in 2017.
Sensei Jackson McManus is an Instructor at Murray’s Martial Arts Center in Greece.
Sensei Jackson McManus is 15 years old and a 2nd Degree Black Belt. He received Karate lessons as a birthday present when he was just 6 years old.
Sensei Brittany Flagg is an Instructor at Murray’s Martial Arts Center in Irondequoit.
Sensei Brittany Flagg is a 2nd Degree Black Belt and began her training at Murray’s Martial Arts I’m 2007. She is studying physiology at Nazareth College and graduated in spring of 2019.
Sensei Jimmy Tumia is an Instructor at Murray’s Martial Arts Center in Greece.
Sensei Jimmy Tumia began training and earned his black belt in the same year. He is currently a 2nd Degree Black Belt.
